PHARMACOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF CINNAMALDEHYDE AGAINST DMBA-INDUCED SKIN CANCER IN ALBINO MICE

نویسندگان

چکیده

Objectives: The primary objective of this study was to assess the pharmacological activity Cinnamaldehyde (CA) obtained from cinnamon bark in 7, 12-Dimethylbenz antharacene (DMBA)-induced skin cancer albino mice and important cell antioxidant enzymes levels which play an role cancer. Methods: Cinnamon collected obtain CA phytochemical screening extract performed. Then done with cancer, after 12 weeks observation, animal sacrificed, samples were various parameters assessed at end histopathological studies Further statistical methods applied analyze results. Results: results revealed that produces significant increase anti-oxidant such as superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase content. It is also reported it has inhibited lactate dehydrogenase lipid peroxidation same time are responsible for damage. Conclusion: present shows consist anti-cancer against DMBA-induced mice.

Chemomodulatory Potential of Flaxseed Oil Against DMBA/Croton Oil–Induced Skin Carcinogenesis in Mice

The present study was conducted to evaluate the potential of flaxseed oil to prevent chemically induced skin cancer in mice. Cancer was induced on 2-stage skin carcinogenesis model by single topical application of 7,12 dimethylbenz [a]anthracene (DMBA), as, initiator, and two weeks later it was promoted by croton oil treatment thrice a week on the dorsal surface of mice for 16 weeks. Flaxseed o...

Chemomodulatory Potential of Bartogenic Acid Against DMBA/Croton Oil Induced Two-Step Skin Carcinogenesis in Mice

Barringtonia racemosa fruits are believed to be useful in cancer treatment in Ayurveda, the Indian system of medicine. In present study, bartogenic acid (BA), a triterpenoid constituent of Barringtonia fruits was evaluated for its cytotoxicity property using the human skin carcinoma cell line (SCC-13) and human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). The chemopreventive efficacy of BA was ev...
